Do you have a like-minded group of friends you fancy getting together with to all learn a new skill? How about a fun afternoon’s Drum Lampshade workshop? A Workshop for up to 10 people (this size group you would be looking at hiring a village hall or similar space) or perhaps a slightly smaller gathering of up to say 6 in your home (you just need to ensure you have enough space to fit you all in. A large kitchen island plus table space is ideal).
I will travel approximately one hour or up to 35 mile radius from GU34 4ND. Please note that I have limited weekend availability throughout the year, so early booking is advised.
PLEASE NOTE : It is the responsibility of the attendees to provide the space for the Workshop to be held, whether that be someone's home or to hire a village/hall or similar space.
Minimum Numbers for a Group Workshop are 5 & Maximum numbers are 10. PLEASE ENSURE THE SPACE YOU'RE PLANNING TO USE WILL CATER FOR THIS AMOUNT OF PEOPLE & THAT YOU HAVE ENOUGH TABLE SPACE EACH.
WHAT TO EXPECT
A fun and relaxed Workshop with step by step expert guidance to learn how to make your own drum lampshade. You choose whether to make a ceiling/pendant shade or table lampshade and at the end take home your very own beautiful creation! No previous experience or sewing skills are necessary for this class.
SHADE SIZES AND WORKSHOP COSTS
25x25cm or 30cmx21cm Lampshade - £45.00 per person (Includes ALL Materials) or £40.00 per person if you bring/use your own fabric.
40cmx25cm Lampshade - £50.00 per person (Includes ALL Materials) or £45.00 per person if you bring/use your own fabric.
A 50% deposit is required UP FRONT, at the time of booking to secure your chosen date. With the outstanding balance due 2 weeks prior to the date of the Workshop.
PLEASE NOTE: I will need to know what size shades all attendees wish to make at the time of booking if possible.
WHAT TO BRING
I will have a large stock of beautiful fabrics to choose from but if there’s something particular you would like to use, do bring along your own fabric but please bear the following in mind when choosing your fabric:
I would recommend a light/medium weight cotton, linen or cotton/linen mix. I would advise not to use silk, very heavy linen/upholstery fabrics or anything with a high nylon content for your first shade as they can be tricky!
If you would like to bring your own fabric, you will need to allow approximately ½ a metre.
PLEASE bring along a pair of decent/sewing scissors if you have them.
All other materials/tools will be provided for you.
